Library Bash

We had a good time at Powell River Public Library tonight. JoMichelle Seidl, the Assistant Chief Librarian, was kind enough to show us all the literacy materials and get us on to some new resources.

It was nice for all the tutors to compare notes and we even had a nice cup of coffee and some cake.

Thanks JoMichelle for all the support.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Train pulling up to the platform.

King's Cross station is an important railway station in London.

[change]History

London King's Cross railway station first opened in 1852.[1] Plans to make the station were made as early as 1848 by George Turnbull. A detailed design was made by Lewis Cubitt.

[change]Location

The station is located on the edge of Central London, were the A501 Euston Road and York Way cross. It is stationed in the Kings Cross district and within the London Borough of Camden on the border of the London Borough of Islington.[2]

King's Cross forms the southern terminus of the East Coast Main Line, one of the UK's major railway stations. Immediately to the west is St Pancras station, the terminus for international Eurostar trains, and the two stations share King's Cross St. Pancras tube station on the London Underground network.
